First Impressions

The first impression of the GeekVape Blade review is the colorful, attractive design. There are two color patterns, Starry Night and Poppy. Starry Night indeed uses many of the colors visible in Van Gogh’s famous painting. Poppy is a mesmerizing swirl of purples, blues, and pink. The colors and appearance are truly eye catching. If the Geekvape Blade mod were a person, it would be one of those people that everyone notices when they walk into a room. It’s a head turner.

Comes in two color patterns:

1. Starry Night - blend of blues, greens, yellows, and orange
2. Poppy - swirling patterns with purples, blues, and pinks

The next thing you will notice is the shape. The Blade mod is not a square box mod style like most dual 18650 vape mods. Instead, it is more rounded for comfort. In fact, it looks like a triple 18650. I love the design and how Geekvape made use of space with diversity and comfort in mind. The height and width is designed to accommodate the larger 201700 batteries. But rather than increasing the dimensions of a box shape to hold the firmware board, they expanded into an ovular shape with the end result of a palm friendly, rounded body.

Finally, you cannot help but notice the huge, highlighted fire button. The way the Geekvape Blade fits in your hand and the button location are perfect for thumb firing. It feels fantastic. The thumb fire feels like a natural extension of your hand. It looks great and feels great. Kind of like me! Anyway, let’s carry on, shall we?

Geekvape Blade 235 Watt TC Vape Mod Review

Time for some nuts and bolts of the Geekvape Blade 235 watt TC mod review. This new mod is made of ultra-light, aircraft grade material. We mentioned that it is lightweight but get a load of this. Without batteries, it weighs only 112 grams. When you pick it up, you definitely notice how light it is. That is a shade under 4 ounces. With two 18650 batteries aboard, the Blade weighs 219 grams or 7.7 ounces. With two 20700 batteries aboard it weighs in at 259 grams or 9.1 ounces.

The Geekvape Blade vape mod is 93 mm tall or 3.7 inches. That makes it only slightly taller than a typical dual 18650 mod. The height is all battery compartment. As I mentioned, instead of sticking the board at the top, GeekVape rounded out the body to make space. At the widest point, the girth of the Blade tops out at 52 mm or right about 2 inches.

The display screen is awesome. Geekvape actually created a white background for the wattage and temperature reading. You have got to love that because you will be able to clearly see the setting even in sunlight. A huge edge over most OLED mod screens. Thumbs way up for that, Geekvape. Well played. Especially for people like me who are outside most of the day. Finally, once again, I love the size and location of the fire button. Perfect for effortless vaping.

• Like any mod, if your vape tank is leaking try to keep the excess excess juice from the screen.

UPDATE: After using the Geekvape Blade for several month now, I can say that the durability of this lightweight material is excellent. I am still loving the fire button, feel and performance.

Geekvape Blade Review Of Vaping Functions

So far the Geekvape Blade review has been very positive. We haven’t even talked about vaping yet! Okay, let’s do that. The Blade is a 235 watt mod with five vaping functions:

1. Variable wattage
2. Temperature control
3. TCR
4. VPC
5. Bypass

Digging into these vaping functions a bit more, the variable wattage range is from 5 watts up to 235 watts. In the lower range, you can increase in 0.1 watt increments. In higher ranges it is 1 watt increments. Another thing I love here is how fast you can go from 5 watts to 235 watts. The chip is fast.

Geekvape chipsets have proven to be very accurate and stable in temperature control. You can use the regular temp control mode for your pre-built temp control coils or you can use TCR mode for exotic wires or for finite control.

Bypass mode means that you forego technology and deliver raw power to your atomizer. Unless you are an experienced vaper, we do not recommend using the Bypass mode. Take advantage of the regulated technology. The vaping is excellent.

Geek Vape Blade VPC Function

Finally, we have VPC vape mode. What is VPC? Variable power curve is the answer. A variable power curve is actually very cool. I know this is a Geekvape Blade review but for those who don’t know about this, I will quickly go over VPC vaping. A power curve is a vaping option where you program each second of atomizer firing. For example, you can set the first second to fire at 80 watts, the second second to fire at 70 watts, the third second to fire at 45 watts, and so on. You can program up to 10 seconds of atomizer firing.

The benefit of the VPC vaping is the you can fine tune each hit on your vape. I like a hard initial hit that mellows out after a couple of seconds. I like the first two seconds to be at high wattage then drop down to a low wattage. Other vapers like a hit that starts mellow and with increasing intensity. You can vape any way you like.

VPC is a feature that is a big plus for the Geekvape Blade review. Most of us spend most of our time vaping in variable wattage mode and that’s great. But having options only enhances the experience and enjoyment of vaping. Especially when vaping Freeman Vape Juice, of course! But everyone knows that:)

Throughout the Geekvape Blade review so far, we have been talking about the battery options. The large battery compartment of the Blade mod will allow for three different battery choices. To vape with 18650 batteries, you insert an adapter. The adapter is very easy to insert in place and it works like a charm. You will get the 18650 battery adapter included in the Geekvape Blade mod kit.

The 20700 batteries are the same diameter as 18650s but are longer. 20700 batteries offer about 25% more capacity than a standard 18650. That extra capacity can make a big difference. It may even mean that two fully charged 20700 batteries get you through a full day at work, which eliminates any need to lug around a second pair of batteries with you.

Advantage of Bigger Vape Batteries

Aero Vape Tank Review

The Geekvape Blade 235 watt mod review is actually a vape kit review. The Blade 235 watt TC mod kit comes with the Aero sub ohm tank. So let’s do an Aero vape tank review real quick.

The Aero tank is a 25mm tank with a 4 ml capacity. There is a TPC compliant 2ml version for European customers. The Aero is made from stainless steel with a Pyrex glass tank. The heat resistant top cap and drip tip can be easily removed to access the top-fill port. It is very easy to refill the tank with your favorite e-juice. Of course, your favorite e-juice is Freeman Vape Juice because you have very good taste!

There is not a lot to say about the Aero tank to be honest. It is an excellent, no frills, sub ohm vape tank. With smooth connections, it is easy to change vape juice without any mess of leaks. The Aero comes with two coil options, a 0.4 ohm coil and a 0.15 ohm coil. This is a new product so there is a chance more coil options could be available in the future.

UPDATE: The two coil types for the Aero tank are the IM1 (0.4 ohm) and IM4 (0.15 ohm). After using the Aero tank for a few months, I can say that the longevity of the IM1 coil surpasses that of the IM4 coil.

Vaping and Using The Geekvape Blade 235 Watt TC Mod Kit With Aero Tank

Before we sign off from the Geekvape Blade 235 watt mod kit review, we best talk about the user experience. The build quality is terrific. This is the first mod made of PPS aircraft material that I have handled. We have been testing for a week and there is every reason to believe in the durability of the Blade. The battery cover sets in place perfectly and holds firm. The 18650 adapter seamlessly slides in and out. Everything is precise and durable.

Another note, the 510 location on this mod is just right. You can use a huge range of vape tanks with no overhang.

The menu system is easy to access and sort through. The screen is easy to read. My favorite part of using this mod during the course of the Geekvape Blade review was the feel. I enjoyed the feel and especially the big beautiful fire button.

The Aero tank is an excellent, precision machined and fitted vape tank. I mean it is nothing spectacular, it’s just a solid sub ohm vape tank. It makes very good vapor and is a solid flavor tank as well.
